Summer Daze

It's been a while since my last post. I'm still getting used to the world of blogging! I think I just love reading everyone else's blogs! :-) I've been changing colors & fonts...so please bear with me!!! I don't have alot of crafty items, but I'm hoping to work on that soon. I recently went to Geneva, Illinois where they were celebrating Swedish Days. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera! They have the cutest little shops there! I found one that was playing Madeline Peyroux, and had the coolest altered art fairies, angels, ornaments, and even those cute rolls of WISH raffle tickets! I was lovin it! I just wished I had my camera! I definately need to bring it the next time I go! The last 2 weeks have been busy & fun filled. I do work full time, and I try to plan fun things to do around my schedule. I took my son to summer camp yesterday! He'll be out of state....away from HOME for 1 whole week! It's his first time there. He was overly excited and was unable to sleep the night before! I think my daughter could've fit into his duffel bag! It was HUGE! He'll have a great time though. He's ALSO there with 2 school friends and his cousin. They're all bunkmates! They were already planning their pranks! Their camp counselors, Tanner & Andy were SO COOL! The boys will have a BLAST! They'll swim in the lake, ride the banana boats, hike, make crafts, plan skits, archery etc. I went to same camp ALMOST 25 yrs ago! Ok, more like 27 years ago. I made sure to show him the lodge I tried to break into to use the payphone to call my mom because I was SOOOO homesick! LOL!

I was hoping to get some other pics of the campground. The lake is really beautiful. They have a beautiful screened porch at the lodge overlooking the lake. I can't wait until next weekend! It's going to be a great week for him, and I'm excited to hear about all about his experience. I can just imagine the stories he'll have! The boys were already thinking about the little pranks they wanted to pull on the girls!

Hannah, her sweet cousin Belle, and their friend Jane took a train ride into Chicago last week to visit Water Tower Place. Well, their actual destination was the American Girl Doll Store! While all of the girls are very busy with music lessons, sports, and other things...they still love being little girls and playing with their dolls. I wish they could stay little forever! My mother....their dear "AMMA" spoiled them rotten during their recent trip! The weather was perfect. They had a fabulous day shopping, and ate at a cute hot dog place that was full of cute little doggie decor. The flat screen tv had dog pics, and the walls were just covered with adorable pooches. The girls were in heaven! Their little dolls got their hair done, and they posed for lots of cute pics!

Don't ya wish you could be a kid again?! Well, that's the last of my recent pics. We'll be heading to Navy Pier on our next trip! That's all for now! Take care everyone!

Gorgeous Summer Day!

It was an absolutely gorgeous day today! Yes, technically it might be SPRING........but for ME it's SUMMER! After experiencing a week of RAIN & gray skies. I woke up to the sun pouring into the house, a cool breeze, and a beautiful blue sky! What a way to start the day! I dropped Hannah off at Cheerleading camp, and ran back home to straighten up a bit. (Of course I couldn't resist visiting a few of my favorite blogs!) The caffiene kicked in and I dusted, vacuumed, and did a some laundry. (It's the maid's day off......riiiighht!) Around noon we headed to the pool & just enjoyed the rest of the day! I was hoping to get some really good pics...but the kids were in splash mode...and not wanting to really pose for the camera today!

Jeremy hid from the camera today. He was only concerned about perfecting his handstands!

Hannah had her music recital over the weekend. She did an amazing job! The kids are all so very talented! Here are a few pics of some of the students at the music studio.

Well that's it for now! It's going to be a busy morning. I'm off to bed! Goodnight & Sweetest Dreams!

SUMMER VACATION IS FINALLY HERE!

Yea! Summer is finally here! The kids are finally out of school! They couldn't be happier! It's been a long year, and everyone needs a little break to just enjoy the lazy days of summer! Well, it will hardly be lazy! We'll still have violin and guitar lessons. My daughter Hannah has a music recital this weekend. She'll be playing violin with a group, and performing a duet with her sweet cousin Belle. They're both SO excited! She'll begin her 2nd year of cheerleading camp in 2 wks. Time to break out the water bottles and sunscreen! It's gonna be HOT outside practicing all of those routines!

Jeremy will be going away to summer camp at the end of the month! It will be his first year away! It's only a week long....but he's going to have a blast! I'll just have to DEAL with it! :-( He's been doing little "jobs" for me, and for his extended family in order to earn money for the "camp store". He's been really enthusiastic about it too! LOL! As we all know.....life is not always full of HEAVENLY BLISS when it comes to kids doing chores!

The kids spent the night at Grandma's. Grandpa's on a business trip and she needed some company! They were more than willing to stay! My mom is truly amazing! She is an ANGEL!

She just loves all of her grandkids so much! She's very "young at heart" and ALWAYS ON THE GO" and doing something fun! We recently spent the weekend bike riding with all the kids. She's always amazed at how quickly the kids are growing up! She was shopping with my daughter yesterday, and was just in awe over how tall she was getting...that she TRIPPED and fell into a little hole in the store parking lot! She has a swollen ankle & sore shoulder! She laughed about it, but the girls were SO concerned. My daughter and my niece decided they wanted to stay the night and have a girl's night in with her...offer their assistance...etc. So sweet of them!

If you haven't seen my Flick'r pics.....here are a few homemade goodies that I made for Mother's Day! I took empty cans, wrapped them in fabric, hot glued some embellishments, and filled them with flowers. My daughter added the stickers...and VOILA!! Cute little flower pots.....not bad for a 1st timer! I think our next project will be a picture frames adorned with seashells....and maybe some camp relating scrapbooking!

Well, that's it for now! It's storming terribly here! I think I'll make some coffee & get a few things organized, and make some phone calls before the kids get home! Maybe if this storm clears up we'll sneak off to the indoor pool!

Have a fabulous day!

Welcome to Heavenly Bliss~

I'm Gina, and I'm from Illinois. I'm a full time working mom of 3 amazing kids! I have 2 sons & 1 daughter. Aside from my full time job, I'm very busy attending to their schedule of music lessons, sports, volunteering at school, birthday parties, and other typical mom duties. I recently stumbled across the wonderful world of blogging! My favorite sites happen to be the cute, pink, glittery, girly craft blogs. I love checking out other people's adorably sweet crafts and scrapbooking ideas! I know we all drool over the fabulous pictures too! I am also obsessed with Flickr! I think that might be how I came upon the blog sites! LOL! I think the first site I ever came across was a blog by Jenn Hayslip at Sweet Eye Candy Creations. My site is currently undergoing construction, as I'm still figuring out how I want the layout to be. Also, as a busy mom....life gets pretty busy with so many things on our plate! Let's see how far I get with this! Wish me luck!

Lastly, thanks to Paige from Simple Thoughts and Jan at the Polka Dot Barn for their assistance & kind words! They have amazing blogs & such beautiful pictures!

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a BLESSED day!
